EXPLORE SOUTH-AFRICA
CAPE TOWN
Nestled between the iconic Table Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean, Cape Town is often considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It’s a vibrant mix of cultures, cuisines, and landscapes — where you can spend your morning hiking a mountain, your afternoon sipping wine in nearby vineyards, and your evening watching the sun set over the sea. Whether you're into history, nature, or just great food and wine, Cape Town is an unforgettable start (or end) to your South African adventure.
STELLENBOSCH
Surrounded by rolling vineyards and dramatic mountain backdrops, Stellenbosch is the heart of South Africa’s wine country. This charming university town blends Cape Dutch architecture, world-class wineries, and a laid-back atmosphere that’s perfect for a day (or two) of exploring. From wine tastings and fine dining to art galleries and scenic strolls, Stellenbosch offers a perfect blend of culture and countryside charm — just under an hour from Cape Town
FRANSCHHOEK
Tucked away in a picturesque valley, Franschhoek is a historic town known as the culinary capital of South Africa. Originally settled by French Huguenots, its name means “French Corner,” and the influence is still felt in its wine estates, architecture, and gourmet food scene. With breathtaking mountain views, award-winning wineries, and the famous wine tram that winds through the vineyards, Franschhoek is a must-visit for food and wine lovers looking to indulge in a bit of French flair in the Cape Winelands
SURROUNDING TOWNS
If you’re looking to explore beyond the Winelands, there are some incredible coastal towns worth visiting. Langebaan is a favourite among water lovers — with its famous kite spot known for strong winds, and the nearby Langebaan Lagoon, where you’ll find stunning turquoise water and a much calmer breeze. A bit further up the coast lies Paternoster and its surroundings, perfect for a quiet seaside escape. For a beachfront stay, check out Absolute Beach in Shelley Point. On the other side of the Cape, Hermanus is a must for whale watching — just be sure to check the weather, as whales tend to be more active when it’s not too windy. If you’re driving there, take the scenic coastal route and make a stop in Betty’s Bay to see the penguins. It’s a quieter, more beautiful, and affordable alternative to the penguin colony at Cape Point
